I have directed people of all ages and skill levels, from grade-school children to seasoned professionals, on shoestring budgets and in well-equipped theaters with wizardly crews and everything in between.
I was the first woman to direct a mainstage production at Trinity Rep, the Tony Award-winning regional theater in Providence, Rhode Island. From 2008 to 2010, I served as Artistic Director of Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro, the bustling port of Los Angeles. When my daughters were younger, I created a program in the elementary school, staging adaptations of books and plays that introduced hundreds of children to the magic of theater.
I have been blessed to work with many superb talents and wonderful spirits - performers, designers, crafters - and, of course, the amazing playwrights who continue to change the way I look at the world.
