I love stories in all their inventive forms and I have been telling stories my whole life in a variety of performance genres.

After spending my adolescence in Japan and Florida, I graduated from Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Connecticut and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. I entered life as a working actor/director at Trinity Rep under the visionary leadership of Adrian Hall in company with many extraordinary artists. I am married to Peter Warren, with whom I have two magnificent daughters who inspire me every day.

Children, in general, inspire me, but what drives me to tell stories is that I can’t live without them and I don’t think anyone else can, either. Stories give shape to the magnificent chaos of living. Teller and listener create them together; there’s a divinity there that sustains us. Stories show us we have souls.
